The MTV Video Music Awards 2014 will be attended by pop star Miley Cyrus, who has confirmed that she will be back in the annual show after her controversial "We Can't Stop" performance last year.
According to a report from E!Online, a rep has confirmed that the former child star will be present at the MTV Video Music Awards 2014 this Sunday. Her appearance is highly anticipated after she shocked everyone last year with a raunchy performance accompanied by singer Robin Thicke.
Aside from Miley Cyrus' return, Us Magazine listed other moments to watch out for in the MTV Video Music Awards 2014.
The annual Moonman awards will open with a special number from Nicki Minaj, Jessie J, and Ariana Grande.
Another highly anticipated performance is the collaboration between Australian rapper Iggy Azalea and British singer Rita Ora, who will debut the track "Black Widow".
Fresh off his honeymoon with wife Behati Prinsloo, Adam Levine will also be performing with his band, Maroon 5.
Other performances for the MTV Video Music Awards 2014 will be coming from Taylor Swift, 5 Seconds of Summer, Usher, Zedd, and DJ Mustard.
Aside from the performers, presenters for this year's VMAs are expected to create buzz. Confirmed presenters include reality superstar Kim Kardashian, pop star Demi Lovato, rock goddess Gwen Stefani, singer Lorde, crooners Jason Derulo and Trey Songz, TV star Nina Dobrev, and cast members from Orange Is the New Black Taylor Schilling, Laverne Cox and Uzo Aduba.
Pop and R&B diva Beyonce was also recently confirmed to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards 2014. She will receive a special lifetime acheievement recognition, the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which has been awarded in previous VMAs to artists such as Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson.
The MTV Video Music Awards 2014 will air on August 24, Sunday at 9/8c ET. This year's VMAs will be held at the Forum in Inglewood, California.
According to LA Times, this year's VMAs will be the first awards show to broadcast from the Forum since it reopened earlier this year after a $100-million makeover by Madison Square Garden Co.
