The trailer further hinted that Kazumi's husband Heihachi murdered her, possibly finding out that she has the Devil Gene within as Kasumi hinted that her powers were passed on to her son, Kazuya.

The trailer ends with Kazuya confronting his father in a fit of rage on the same volcano where he was thrown in Tekken 2. It is not yet confirmed whether Kazumi Mishima will be a playable character or possibly a boss character within Tekken 7.

Harada also confirmed that Tekken 7 is being built on the Unreal Engine 4 and will ported for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 during an interview.

"With Unreal Engine 4, we can rapidly achieve visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it."

"Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it also allows us to bring Tekken 7 to any platform we desire."

In an interview with 4Gamer, Harada reflected on his career in 2013. "As part of being the leader in the development of multiple free-to-play titles, I was also involved in the efforts to change the structures of the console gaming industry with the first party group of SCE, I hope to keep this going into (2014) as well."

"Tekken is one of my life's works, and while I can't say much here, together with the titles we were going to announce this year, I'm also working on several other titles simultaneously with Tekken. From there, I'd like to announce at least two of those titles in 2014, and I feel that it's something I must do."

"There are a few titles that we've been quietly working on, and some we've been thinking about working on, so the year 2014 looks like it'll be a tough one."
