MTV Video Music Awards 2014

Miley Cyrus' VMA highlight has gone viral. Because of what Miley Cyrus VMA did on Sunday night, she was able to make headlines yet again.

Every year, the MTV Video Music Awards is something that both musicians and fans look forward to. For the musicians, it is their chance to dress to impress, while the performers for that night see it as their opportunity to try to out-stage one another. However, what Miley Cyrus VMA did was something very unusual.

Last year, Miley Cyrus' VMA performance became famous all over the world because of her twerking moves. However, this time around, she lays off the twerking and has opted to be more helpful towards others.

It was Jimmy Fallon who made the official announcement that Miley Cyrus VMA won the Video of the Year Award for her hit single "Wrecking Ball." However, instead of going up the stage to accept the award and give her speech, she passed this up to a homeless teen. Instead of taking the stage to thank her producers and other people who helped her reach her current success, she gave her time to speak on the stage to the homeless man, intending to raise awareness about one of today's heaviest issues that involve the homeless youth.

Jesse, which is the name of the homeless teen, said when he was on the stage, "I have survived in shelters all over this city. I've cleaned your hotel rooms. I've been an extra in your movies. I've been an extra in your life. Though I may have been invisible to you on the streets, I have a lot of the same dreams that brought many of you here tonight."

Jesse was actually one of the 1.6 million homeless teens that currently live in the United States. With this in mind, he wanted to help his fellow homeless youngsters by asking the people to visits Miley Cyrus VMA's official Facebook page and make a donation to a homeless shelter for young people in Hollywood.
