"Sin City 2" movie cast Jessica Alba talked about her devastated character Nancy as the sequel banks on a bunch of a-listers for box-office draw.

In the sequel, "Sin City 2" movie cast Jessica Alba reprises her role as the stripper Nancy, and this time her greatest love Hartigan-played by Bruce Willis in the original film-is no longer around.

"The love of her life is gone," the 33-year-old actress said of her character's dead boyfriend. "She's devastated. She's an alcoholic. She's still dancing. She's not happy about it."

"It was cool to be able to take someone from this sweet, innocent, naïve victim to this very powerful warrior who takes her life in her own hands and gets revenge," she toldMailOnline.

The film relies on a hodge-podge of A-listers in order to become a box-office draw. Aside from "Sin City 2" movie cast Jessica Alba, the film also features Bruce Willis, Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green, Rosario Dawson, Mickey Rourke, Ray Liota, Jaime King, Stacey Keach, Jeremy Piven, and Powers Boothe, said TheWire.

The website observed that like "The Expendables" before it, "Sin City 2" offers an opportunity "for another arbitrary gathering of rankings, pitting the old (Bruce Willis) against the very old (Stacy Keach), and the leather-skinned (Mickey Rourke) against the alabaster (Eva Green). Who shall triumph?"

Meanwhile, UK's Independent called the film "dull" even with the rich visuals and the gratuitous sex and violence.

"As a stylistic exercise, the film is impressive. Powers Boothe excels as the finger crunching, crooked politician villain," the website said. "What makes the film a test of endurance is the wayward, repetitive storytelling."

It said that "Sin City 2" jumps from the different interconnected episodes featuring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green and Jessica Alba but couldn't get its timing right. As a result, the whole movie just came off in a "clunky fashion."
