"The Big Bang Theory" season 8 spoilers really spoil it for the fans who are looking forward to the Penny and Leonard wedding. Meanwhile, cast Jim Parsons addressed the production delay issue in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Executive producer Steven Molaro talked "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 spoilers to TVLIne when he quickly doused rumors of a wedding in season 8. In fact, he said that both Penny and Leonard are in for a long engagement.
"They're in a great place. They're the kind of couple where they can be engaged for a while and that's fine," he said.
He also dished out more "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 spoilers as he said that Penny will have a lot going on for her during the premiere episode for her to even think about walking down the aisle.
"She will embark on a brand new career, and that will be taking up a lot of her time and energy. Bernadette has helped to get her a job as a pharmaceutical sales rep at her company. She is going to put her failed acting career on the backburner for a while," he said.
But she will take to her new job like fish on water because of her gregarious personality and her looks as well.
Meanwhile, Jim Parsons also addressed the contractual issues which contributed to the delay in production. When the contract wasn't done by July 30, he was already anxious because he really wanted to go back to work but couldn't until the negotiations are finished.
And he and the other main cast like Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki are perceived to be holding down the talks in order to get what they want. The three are set to make about $1 million per episode.
"That's always hard, because part of you wants to explain to people what's really going on. 'Don't worry, we're not leaving, we want to do the show,'" he said.
