Good news Marvel fans! Updates for the X-Force movie have been revealed.
With the success of X-Men: Days of Future Past, Twentieth Century Fox wasted no time announcing the next installments of the X-Men franchise, X-Men: Apocalyspe, Wolverine 3, Deadpool, Gambit, and X-Force.
According to reports from Screenrant, X-Force was originally announced last summer with Kick-Ass 2 director Jeff Wadlow attached to writing the script and directing the movie. X-Force creator Rob Leifeld had read the complete draft of the script and commented on it as "beyond impressive".
Although there are no doubts that X-Force movie is in development, everything changed when Bryan Singer announced that X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled for next year. The production has been shelved in favor of the X-Men: Apocalypse.
X-Men franchise producer Lauren Shuler Donner speaks his mind about the sudden change during an interview with Collider.
"I think we have to figure out how many films a summer can handle without getting into X-Men fatigue... There's a summer, there's a year, say 2014, 2015, how many can you put out? Take into consideration there are also Marvel movies coming out then. At a certain point people want to see other movies besides comic book movies so you have to be really careful what you're going to pick, and how many are going to be released within a year."
Screenrant also reported that five characters will star in the X-Force movie and these are Cable, Psylocke, Colossus, Domino, and Deadpool.

There are also rumors that Tom Hardy will star as Cable in movie. Comicbook.com reports that Tom Hardy and Jon Hamm are in talks with Leifeld for the role of Cable in X-Force.
Lastly, there have been reports that the X-Force movie will likely set-up the Deadpool spin-off starting Ryan Reynolds, and X-Force will likely be the next movie X-Men film after X-Men: Apocalypse as stated by Fox.
