iPod Touch 6G release date is expected by many by this fall. Today, a lot of speculations have surfaced regarding the official iPod Touch 6G release date. And, according to most of the speculations, the upcoming iWatch could be Apple's replacement for the iPod Touch line. However, there are still some strong guesses that the company will be releasing at least one more iPod Touch gadget before they start moving on to different forms of high technology.
Apple has been known for its development of their other contraptions, namely the iPad and the iPhone, for the past few years. This is perhaps why Apple has somehow not given much attention to their iPod Touch line. In fact, the latest iPod Touch, the 5th generation model, has been released two years ago. Technologically speaking, it would seem that the iPod Touch 5 is relatively outdated, particularly with regards to its specifications and hardware.
Moreover, just in the last several years, there has been a rapid drop in its sales. However, and fortunately for the company, the company was able to experience a minute 6% gain in their sales last quarter when they released the 16GB model and camera. Although it has been installed with new features, it was not the new iPod Touch 6th generation.
Analysts have figured that majority of today's users might have resorted to making use of their iPad and iPhone for their portable music needs as well. This could be the explanation to the company's reduced revenue. Still, there is no confirmation on whether or not Apple will be releasing a new iPod Touch 6 with iOS 8 anytime soon.
The highly anticipated iPhone 6 has been set for an official public release by September of 2014. Many also expect that there is a huge possibility that the new iPod Touch 6G release date could be around that time as well.
Although there has been a bit of a sales drop lately, the iPod Touch is still recognized as Apple's biggest selling iPod contraption to date. Providing its line with one last refresh could turn out to be highly effective in increasing sales, as opposed to merely relying on the current decline in the sales of the iPod 5G.
