We have been getting many "Iron Man 4" rumors lately and fans reacted violently (not literally) when they heard that Robert Downey Jr. won't be reprising his role as Tony Stark. He has been the face of the playboy billionaire since the first "Iron Man" movie was released in 2008.

Some people think that Robert Downey Jr. was the main reason that the "Iron Man" film franchise was a success. However, Kevin Feige hinted that there could be a recast for upcoming "Iron Man" movies during an interview at the Comic-Con last year.

The president of Marvel Studios told Collider, "I believe Tony Stark is as strong a character as Batman. We're about to head into our fifth or sixth Batman - however, you wanna look at it - James Bond, etc. So, there will absolutely be future Tony Starks and future Iron Mans."

Feige added, "Who makes those movies, and when those movies are made, who knows? I don't know. But, the notion with Robert's contract in The Avengers 2 & 3 is to allow new characters. Part of what we love about The Avengers is the shifting roster. That's what's fun about the comic book movies. You shift them up. So, certainly that was a lot of the thought process that went into it."

That statement could have started the "Iron Man 4" rumors that Robert Downey Jr will be replaced by another actor soon. During an interview with MTV News, Robert Downey Jr revealed how he felt about someone else playing Tony Stark.

The 49-year old actor said, "I would really hate for someone else to think they could step into my shoes." He teased the interviewer, "I wonder who's playing Tony Stark next. Is it you? Is that what you're here to tell me?"

According to Movie Pilot, Downey hasn't committed to "Iron Man 4" which is set to release in May 2019. By that time, he would already be 54-years old and his leading lady Gwyneth Paltrow will be 46-years old. If Downey will be replaced by a younger actor, then it will be awkward to pair him with the original star that played Pepper Potts.

That's why the website has come up with a list of celebrity pairs who they think will best replace Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow. Fans chose Colin Farrell (38) and Olga Kurylenko (34), James Franco (36) and Emma Stone (25), and Ryan Gosling (33) and Eva Mendes (40).

Do you think the "Iron Man 4" rumors are true and who among these celebrity pairs do you think will best portray Tony Stark and Pepper Potts?
