Sony responds to the Sony PlayStation hack ISIS Terrorist Lizard Squad, now that the PlayStation Network is restored and running.

Update on Sony PlayStation hack ISIS Terrorist Lizard Squad; Sony's PlayStation Network is up and running, as confirmed in the company's official Twitter account.

"Update: PlayStation Network and Sony Entertainment Network are back online, thanks for your patience and support."

The PlayStation Blog doesn't mention of any involvement by the ISIS and its arm Lizard Squad, though it confirms the down time was caused by a distributed denial of service attack.

"The PlayStation Network and Sony Entertainment Network are back online and people can now enjoy the services on their PlayStation devices. The networks were taken offline due to a distributed denial of service attack. We have seen no evidence of any intrusion to the network and no evidence of any unauthorized access to users' personal information.

In light of today's issue, the networks will not undergo the regularly scheduled maintenance, which was planned for Monday, August 25. We will provide an update shortly for when the maintenance will be rescheduled."

It's previously reported the link between Sony PlayStation hack ISIS Terrorist Lizard Squad, and in their Twitter page, the latter claimed responsibility for the attack.

"Sony, yet another large company, but they aren't spending the waves of cash they obtain on their customers' service. End the greed."

Sony's Online Entertainment President John Smedley wasn't spared from misinformation; the group tipped off there was a bomb in the executives American Airlines, flight, in a tweet.

"@AmericanAir We have been receiving reports that @j_smedley's plane #362 from DFW to SAN has explosives on-board, please look into this."

Based on Sony's update, the Sony PlayStation hack ISIS Terrorist Lizard Squad is contained. Scheduled maintenance for the PlayStation Network is postponed for a later date (source: classicalite.com).
