Meanwhile, there have been rumors that the Joker will return in the Harley Quinn DLC campaign.

According to the reports from Cyberland, the Harley Quinn DLC will focus on Harley Quinn hunting down Ra's Al Ghul in hopes of convincing him to revive Joker from the dead. If we remember correctly the Joker died in Arkham City as Harley Quinn blaims Batman for his death which led to the "Harley Quinn's Revenge" campaign.

Rocksteady has officially stated that Joker is dead as of the ending in Arkham City, however they continued to say that the story of Arkham knight is how would Gotham be if the Joker is gone. They continued to say that Joker is going to be referenced left and right though out the game.

It has been rumored that Joker will make an appearance via Flash backs and through a "dream sequence" when Batman gets intoxicated by Scarecrow's fear toxin.

Batman Arkham Knight is the last installment of the Batman Arkham series developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It scheduled to be released in 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and for the PC.
