Actress Jennifer Aniston recently sat down for an interview with Carson Daly on "The Today Show" where she spoke about womanhood and revealed that there's really more to life than motherhood.
Daly and Aniston spoke about Gloria Steinem's famous stand on feminism and the actress clarified that womanhood shouldn't be defined through the use of checklist, according to Elle.
"You said, 'Being a woman, your value and worth is associated with marital status or whether or not you've procreated. I've talked to Gloria Steinem personally about this for a while, just because it always is such an issue of, like, 'Are you married yet? Do you have your babies yet?' It's just constant," she said.
"It's like, 'Well, I know.' I don't have this sort of checklist of things that have to be done and if they are not checked, then I've failed some part of my feminism or my being a woman or my worth or my worth as a woman because I haven't, you know, birthed a child? I've birthed a lot of things and I feel like I've mothered many things and I don't think it is fair to put that pressure on people," she added.
The "We're the Millers" actress has been bombarded with endless rumors about the possibility of getting pregnant and becoming a mother at the age of 45.
Throughout the past couple of months, multiple sources have speculated over her pregnancy and some have even reported that she has had a miscarriage that devastated her and boyfriend Justin Theroux.
"Sources say that Jen was pregnant but lost the baby and is now devastated to think about the possibility that she might not ever become a mother," Celeb Dirty Laundry reported.
Meanwhile, Aniston recently appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" along with female "Friends" co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox.
