When Vin Diesel, voice of Groot in "Guardians of the Galaxy, commented about Marvel seeing him as "inhuman." Rumors about his possible casting as Black Bolt in the "Inhumans" movie adaptation started to spread. Although the "Fast and Furious" star has not said anything more after that, the speculations remain.
The Wire said that the actor persists in trolling his fans. Recently, the admin of his Facebook page posed a photo of him with his arms stretched at his sides in a surrendering pose while he tilted his face up a bit.
Obviously, he was mimicking Black Bolt's trademark pose. So as expected, he bolstered the suspicion that he might be playing the role of the superhumans' team leader in the "Inhumans" movie adaptation in the not so distant future. Vin Diesel's dropping the hint that involved the Inhumans sufficed to draw huge attention to this group, as though they have just been introduced to the public.
Actually, based on The Wire report, the Marvel comic book team has been around for more or less 40 years now. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, they debuted in the Fantastic Four comics back in the 60s. They are a group of genetically superior humanoids of mixed human and alien decent led by a patriarch with a supersonic voice known as Black Bolt, reported The Clog.
So, assuming that Vin Diesel is one of the top contenders for the role of Black Bolt in the "Inhumans" movie adaptation, why would he be a perfect fit? Science Fiction gives three good reasons:
1. Black Bolt's devastatingly powerful voice renders him incapable of talking. Without words, his gait and aura are the ones that convey his strong persona as leader of the Inhumans. Vin Diesel possesses a natural swagger that gives him a formidable presence even if he does not say anything.
2. Black Bolt's costume is tight-fitting, thus highlighting the contour of his body. Plus, his hair is covered with a skullcap. The "Fat and Furious" star has a buff bod worthy of being flaunted in such a body-fit attire. Moreover, being a natural skinhead, he would not have a problem with wearing the headgear.
