Dana White reacts to media and backlashers who bad mouthed the UFC 177 match

UFC President Dana White just has had enough of people bad mouthing the UFC 177 match.

He had talked about journalist who had been telling people not to order UFC 177. White talked to Ariel Helwani in between fights during the UFC 177 prelims and took the opportunity to lash out to the media who had been criticizing the match.

He said "it's one of these things..the GQ article that just came out about me, that I don't pay my employees enough. Yet there's 'journalists' out there, so called journalists, that are paid to cover the sport asking people not to buy the pay-per-view."

"What about all the work that T.J. Dillashaw's put into it...how about the amazing fight he had against Renan Barao. People were talking like this when the Renan Barao fight was still in there."

He added "These fighters all trained, had a camp, had to pay money for their camp and to survive and have been away from their families for eight weeks. Some of 'em longer. To come in here and have an opportunity to fight, to make money and to get a better record. To hear some of the disgusting, despicable things that are said by the 'so called guys' who are supposed to be covering the sport it makes me sick."

White even named a specific journalist in his rant saying "There were 130 refunds. 130 refunds. And even Dave Meltzer wrote a story earlier this week or put it out there 'oh, the gate's only gonna be $500,000.' No, Dave Meltzer, the gate is $700,000 tonight."

But aside from the media, White had also lashed out at fans who did not like Joe Soto in a UFC main event. There were fans who said that UFC 177 should have been moved to "free" status and put on Fox Sports 1 following Renan Barao being forced out of his main event title rematch against T.J. Dillashaw. The main event now features Dillashaw defending against promotional newcomer Joe Soto.

This is what White had to say "Tell them to go to the movies tonight. I don't care."

He added "It's funny these guys saying 'make it a free show', how do you want these guys to get paid? The champ is still fighting. That's the craziest thing I ever heard. These people were bitching when Barao was still fighting. Some people are just never happy. I don't care."

Juicy choice of words coming from Dana White.
