Here's an inside peek and backstage footage of Taylor Swift's Shake it Off video. The clip shows basket-tosses and extension preps during the cheerleading segment of the latest video. Swift happily talks about the enormous number of cardio and workouts she did at the order of Mark Romanek, her director to get her ready for the intense and three-day long shoot, as well as what the Shake it Up video implies to her fans and to her.
The You Belong With Me singer says during an interview with Rolling Stone, "A lot of people who, I think, will relate to this song are people who are dealing with not ever really feeling cool with themselves because other people make them feel like they don't fit in. One thing I learned in this whole process is you can get everything you want in your life without ever feeling like you fit in. Selling millions of records doesn't make me feel cool - it makes me feel proud and I have a lot of people on my side and I've worked really hard. But I don't think it's the most important thing in life to fit in. I think it's the most important thing in life to dance to the beat of your own drum and to look like you're having more fun than the people who look cool, like they fit in."
The Shake It Off Video will definitely climb up the charts of MTV and other lists, while the song will be included in the upcoming album of Swift entitled, 1989, that will be released on October 27. She did a live performance of the song during this year's Video Music Awards of MTC, where she made the stage into a big dance floor with her back-up dancers. She first performed for VMA in 2009, since then she has performed at the MTV awards in 2010, 2012 and this year.
