The rumors of "Sherlock" cast Benedict Cumberbatch being included in "Batman V Superman" film just won't die down, and he's not doing anything to nip gossip in the bud. The 38-year-old meanwhile slurred through is GQ acceptance speech.
In the latest report from Movie Pilot, "Sherlock" cast Benedict Cumberbatch will reportedly play a villain in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. To date, the British actor is not denying the rumors.
The website also cited a BBC Twitter feed as shared by user Chi Chi Izundu who posted: "Benedict Cumberbatch says he's not going to put to bed rumours he's the baddie in #BatmanvSuperman @BBCNewsbeat."
"Now, obviously this remains very much within the realm of rumor - and one deflected question to a British journalist does not a confirmation make - but all the same, it's a big step," Movie Pilot said, adding that "Sherlock" cast Benedict Cumberbatch typically quashes any false reports regarding any movie he's supposedly involved in.
Meanwhile, it seeems the "Star Trek: Into Darkness" star could not do anything in the eyes of his adoring female fans, even if he slurred through the GQ Men of the Year Awards on Wednesday.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported that "Sherlock" cast Benedict Cumberbatch rambled, made some insults, forgot some words, swore and finally admitted to being tipsy during his speech. At the end of his spiel, he even said that, "I drank a lot so I need the loo (British slang for the toilet)."
Instead of calling him out, however, the publication shared some of the Twitter reactions of his female fans.
User Ronnie wrote: "Benedict Cumberbatch drunk is one of the funniest things I've seen. Is adorable too. Can I hug him?"
User Cassie chimed in: "Benedict Cumberbatch's acceptance speech at the GQ awards was HILARIOUS."
Kimberly Magain added: "So awkward but I love a man who can get drunk, lose his words and yet be so hilarious."
