As more and more details emerge of George Clooney and Amal Alammudin's upcoming wedding, it's becoming more likely that this will be the celebrity wedding of the year. One of the biggest points of interest is of course the George Clooney fiance ring that the actor gave to his beloved Amal. The engagement ring was first spotted on Amal's hand at their friend Rande Gerber's birthday bash, and the bling certainly lives up to expectations.
Alammudin, who is 36 years old and is a topnotch internationsl human rights lawyer, looked every bit the proud owner of the George Clooney fiance ring -- an enormous emerald-cut diamond that is approximately 7 plus carats, with two tapered baguettes in a platinum set. People reports that it is an ethically mined diamond, in keeping with the Gravity star's African advocacies. What's more, George Clooney himself helped design the ring, which is estimated to be worth at least $ 750,000. George had proposed to his then girlfriend Amal, in a traditional manner, going down on one knee to declare his intentions to marry her.
Other details of the wedding that have emerged are that George Clooney and his groomsmen will be outfitted by an entire design team from Giorgio Armani, and that the wedding location might be somewhere in Italy, perhaps near Lake Como where the actor owns a villa.
As for the perfect wedding dress to go with her George Clooney fiance ring, Amal Alammudin was recently spotted heading into Alexander McQueen's headquarters for an appointment. This has fueled speculations that the soon-to-be bride might be walking down the aisle in one of McQueen's dazzling creations. We'll have to wait for more details of this to emerge.
What is certain though, is that the rumors that George Clooney's fiance Amal being pregnant is so not true. Rumors were quickly circulating this week that the lawyer was three months pregnant after she was spotted sporting what appeared to be a baby bump while wearing a maxi dress. But George Clooney's rep was quick to quash these rumors as untrue.
