A new trailer for "Grey's Anatomy" season 11 has been released and it showed how Meredith and Derek's marriage can be in jeopardy.
In the trailer, the couple, who has been together for several years now, was featured arguing. Meredith opted to stay at the hospital where she's been working for the past couple of years and Derek was adamant at convincing her to consider otherwise.
At one point, Meredith was also featured talking and hugging his good friend, Alex, and she was heard saying, "I just don't know if my marriage can survive this," according to Entertainment Focus.
In the past, series creator Shonda Rhimes hinted that this season will be Meredith-centric and revealed that her marriage to Dr. McDreamy will indeed be on the rocks.
Meanwhile, some new and returning cast members have also been revealed. This season, Caterina Scorsone will reprise her role as Dr. Amelia Shepherd, the sister of Derek. She will be a regular this season, Christian Today reported.
Actor Patrick Fabian will also return as a guest star this season and will reprise his role as Dr. Lebackes. Kate Burton will also return this season in a series of flashbacks for the titular role of Dr. Ellis Grey, the same publication noted.
Newcomers this season will include Geena Davis, who will play the role of one of the surgeons. She will be joined by Annet Mahendru who has been cast to join just one episode.
Earlier this week, Mahendru confirmed her involvement in the series via Twitter when she wrote, "Had fun @GreysABC today J #GreysAnatomy."
Additionally, the first two episode titles for season 11 have also been confirmed. Episode 1 will be called, "I Must Have Lost It In The Wind" and episode two will be called "Puzzle With a Missing Piece," Hallels noted.
Both titles are lifted from songs that obviously guarantee even more drama throughout the entire season.
