Floyd Mayweather news reveals that "Money" is being sued by his ex-fiancé Shantel Jackson, aka "Miss Jackson." The Pound-for-Pound boxing king was also accused by none other than chief rival paper Manny Pacquiao of ducking the highly clamored mega fight.
Mayweather and Jackson had split early this year, however, it was revealed that the boxer's former fiancé filed a lawsuit on Thursday. In a report by the Los Angeles Times, "Miss Jackson" was seeking damages for invasion of privacy, assault, battery and defamation.
Floyd Mayweather news reveals that "Money" and "Miss Jackson" have been in a relationship since 2006. In December 2013, it was also revealed that a sonogram showed that Jackson was carrying Floyd Mayweather's twins, which she immediately informed the boxer.
It was reported that the said revelation of the sonogram was when the heated exchange between the former couple began.
"Mayweather insisted that the plaintiff move to Las Vegas. Ms. Jackson wanted to remain in Los Angeles," Jackson attorney Gloria Allred said in a written statement. "When Ms. Jackson refused to move, Ms. Jackson alleges that Mayweather became verbally abusive, stating 'I took you out of the 'hood. I should have left [you] there.' In January, Ms. Jackson's pregnancy terminated and Mr. Mayweather was so informed."
As of this writing, the Mayweather camp has yet to release their statement regarding the matter.
Floyd Mayweather news also reveals Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao's accusations at the current pound-for-pound boxing king of ducking the supposed mega fight that had been demanded to happen since 2009.
Recently, Bob Arum declared that the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight would likely happen in 2015. But for Manny Pacquiao, his chief rival does not deserve the top pound-for-pound spot.
"It is a shame for a fighter to claim that he's the pound-for-pound or best fighter in the world and you're ducking some other boxer, some other fighter that wants to fight you," Pacquiao told Marcos Villegas of Fight Hub. "Especially that it's been known all over the world by the fans."
