Theirs is one of the most successful reality shows on TV, and the stars of Duck Dynasty are conquering Hollywood after a great run on TV. But no, the Duck Dynasty stars are not going to star in their very own full length feature, they are doing to be producing one.
Moving on from recent reports of a Duck Dynasty scandal, Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty has just confirmed that he will be an executive producer in Nicolas Cage upcoming movie Left Behind.
In this new action movie thriller, Nicolas Cage plays Rayford Steele, a pilot who tries to save the plane he is flying in, which is thirty thousand feet over the Atlantic, pilotless and damaged, with terrified passengers panicking at every turn. Left Behind trailer is the movie version of the New York Times bestselling novel where the story is based. The books are actually a series of 16 novels that were written by Tim La Haye and Jerry B. Jenkins, dealing with the Christian themes of rapture, end of the world, and pre-tribulation, premillennial themes.
The main conflict in the series occurs between the Tribulation Force, and the Global Community, whose head Nicolae Carpathia is depicted as the Antichrist.
Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty was recently featured on a new video that was posted on Left Behind's official Facebook page."Like most Christians, my family and I can truly say that we're excited about the soon return of Jesus," Robertson says. And in what can be construed as the newest Duck Dynasty scandal, with this bold declarations and predictions, Robertson declares:"And I'm sure if you've been watching the news lately, you know that that return could be any day now."
"I believe people are going to make that life-changing decision to follow Christ on the way home from the theater," Robertson adds.
This is not the first time that these reality stars have made very bold statements, that have led to Duck Dynasty scandals. It will be remebered that Phil Robertson received a lot flak for his strong statements against homosexuals. This time they are making no-nonsense declarations on judgment day.
The movie Left Behind will be released in theaters this October 3.
