Joan Rivers post-death news revealed the now "uncertain" future of the late TV host's show "Fashion Police". According to a report from Variety, an official statement has been issued by E! Network, which airs the said program.
Fans of the "Fashion Police" are wondering what will happen to the show following the untimely passing of its main host last Thursday.
E! Network released a short statement to temporarily stop speculations: "Right now we are mourning our beloved Joan. We will respond at a later date with programming updates."
After Joan Rivers' health scare news broke last week, the entertainment channel announced last Thursday morning that "Fashion Police" would take a two-week hiatus, said Variety.
The network's previously-issued statement read: "We will not be producing a 'Fashion Police' this week or next as we await Joan and Melissa's return in front and behind the camera. E! will be airing two 'E! From Fashion Week' specials that will deliver the latest news and information from the highly-anticipated event."
Joan Rivers passed away hours after the said statement was released. She was 81 years old.
Tributes posted by her "Fashion Police" co-hosts online were reported by ABC News.
Kelly Osbourne posted an Instagram photo of herself on the "Fashion Police" set with Joan Rivers. The 29-year-old captioned the photo: "I'm completely heartbroken by the loss of my beloved Joan. Not only was she my boss, she was and will always be my teacher, therapist, closest friend, inspiration and the only grandmother I ever knew."
The daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne continued: "She was family and I will never forget her. Laughter will be difficult for a while but when I'm sad, lonely or upset all I will have to do is think of Joan and a smile will cross my face. Laughter is what she gave us and laughter is what she would want us to do in remembrance of her."
Kelly Osbourne also addressed Joan Rivers' family: "Melissa and Cooper, my thoughts are with you and I love you both so much. Joan, thank you for taking me in and loving me as a daughter. I will miss you deeply and will always hear your voice in my head saying 'my darling get out there and be you!'"
TV host Giuliana Rancic, who worked with Joan Rivers for 13 years, issued this statement through E!News: "It is almost impossible to describe how much I adored Joan and how much she has meant to me. Working with her for the last 13 years has been one of the true joys of my life."
The Italian beauty added: "(Joan) could put a smile on your face, instantly, no matter how hard your day was ... My life is so much fuller and happier because I got to share it with this beautiful person, a true genius. I woke up today unable to grasp what the world will be like without her and at the same time feel so privileged to have called her my friend."
E!Online was one of the first to report about Joan Rivers' news about her cardiac arrest. The "Fashion Police" host reportedly stopped breathing during a minor endoscopic procedure at Yorkville Endoscopy medical clinic.
