Ladies' Code member, Rise, died last Sunday, September 7; Kpop star is 23.

After being unconscious and undergoing brain surgery, the 23-year-old member was announced dead last Sunday.

Other Ladies' Code member Eunb, 22, died last September 3. Her funeral was held last Friday.

According to BBC, the K-pop group debuted last 2013 and released their latest single Kiss Kiss last month.

Other member Sojung underwent in an operation for a jaw fracture, while Ashley and Zuny got minor injuries and have undergone treatment due to shock.

BBC said "Police inspector Lee Ho-dong told the Associated Press that the crash happened when band were returning to the South Korean capital after filming a TV appearance in the south-eastern city of Daegu."

The van driver of the girl band was reported treated for a minor injury. He was being questioned. Inspector Lee said, the driver might have been speeding on a wet road to meet a tight schedule.

Official statement:

"We are investigating the exact cause of the accident."

"But it's difficult because the highway section where the crash occurred did not have a closed-circuit television camera."

Inspector mentioned a camera from inside the van had been sent to the National Forensic Service (reported by BBC).
