"Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch, who figured in the news last week for going out with a mystery brunette, has unveiled his new and scruffy look. He also gave a shout-out to "Zero Dark Thirty's" Jessica Chastain to play Ophelia in his new sold-out play, "Hamlet."

According to the report by Huffington Post Canada, "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch attended the Toroto Film Festival party hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and InStyle last Saturday.

"The 38-year-old 'Sherlock' star went casual (for him) wearing a blue blazer over a navy button-up and white tee, which he paired with a newsboy cap. Benedict was also sporting something that he's been growing for a few weeks now: facial hair!" the HufftonPost said.

"The Brit, who normally goes clean-shaven, had some noticeable scruff on his face and we have to admit that we like it!" it added.

"Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch will stay in Toronto for the premiere for "The Imitation Game" with Keira Knightley.

Meanwhile, the "Star Trek: Into Darkeness" star went giddy when told by Yahoo Movies that one of Jessica Chastain's dream is to be in a Shakespeare play.

"I've never played Ophelia. I always thought I'd play Ophelia. And it's probably not now in my future...it's a strange thing for theater with actresses, because you kind of grow away from a role," she said.

After "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch got wind of the 37-year-old actress' comments, he said: "She's terrific! She can come and join our party if she wants. She hasn't aged out of our production. I'm an older Hamlet, and we can all be contemporaries in the young world of that play."

He also asked Yahoo Movies to "give her a call."

"Call her up and see if she's that interested in playing Ophelia now. I don't think it's an age thing, Jess. It would be lovely for us!" the 38-year-old actor said.
