Comments reacting to the news political commentator Nicole Wallace and a second Rosie - Rosie Perez - will be joining comedienne Whoopee Goldberg and co- host Rosie O’Donnell on The View were not welcoming. The Perez - Nicole duo will be replacing Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy, who were axed, according to online reports.
In response to Deadline.com's news story of the update confirming Nicole Wallace, a former George Bush political analyst, and the popular actress Rosie Perez, an American household name, viewers were disappointed in the direction the hit show is going:
"What a big failure this show has become." Another reader noted "Good! I wish someone would run arose off, permanently this time," and a more political comment said 'Another Obama supporter..... another reason the view is not my view...bye bye."
The much-hyped ABC talk show is moderated by "Whoopi", who became prominent for her performances with Robin Williams and Billy Crystal and her serious and well thought out humor shared that she and veteran O'Donnell joust wanted to get selection process over with.
“Rosie has been in the mix, but no one thought was going to happen. And ABC execs didn’t want to have two Rosie’s on the panel,” a source close to the story said. “The testing on Rosie was that her voice was too annoying and she was too old. But they ended up going with her because they wanted someone famous and she appeals to the Latina demographic.”
The day time show will air on September 15.
