Molly Glynn dies at the age of 46. Molly Glynn was the actress who plays the role of a doctor in TV drama "Chicago Fire." She died after a huge tree, which was uprooted by a powerful storm, struck her as she was riding her bike in a forest park.

Molly Glynn was actually with her husband, Joe Foust, when the storm hit the area, which was a bit to the north of Chicago. This was derived from the statement given on Sunday by David Rice, who is the Executive Director of First Folio Theater and also a very close family friend.

Rice said, "Molly was one of the most loving and generous people in the Chicago theater scene. She was incredible talented, incredibly versatile. She could handle both comedy and the deepest, darkest dramas."

According to Sophia Ansari, the spokesperson of the Cook County Sheriff's Office, it was Molly Glynn's husband who called 911 shortly before 4 p.m. last Friday. He told the 911 operator that his wife had been injured. Merely a day after, last Saturday, Colette Urban, spokesperson of NorthShore Evanston Hospital, was the one who confirmed that Molly Glynn has died.

Molly Glynn was going for an audition earlier during that day, and she and her husband decided to go for a ride on their bikes. The highly unpredictable weather took them by surprise and an uprooted tree slammed into Molly Glynn as the couple was pedaling hard to safety.

Rice said, "It was a freak accident and a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time."

As soon as the news of how Molly Glynn dies from a freak accident caused by the storm, other people from the theater community, both in and around Chicago, expressed their shock and sadness. Michael Halberstam, the artistic director of the Writers Theater in Glencoe, said, "It is an incalculable loss. She was a loving mother and wife and everyone who met her fell in love with her."
