Adrien Broner news reveals that "The Problem" bagged his 29th career victory over the weekend's fight card for Showtime Boxing. The three-time world champion also called out Argentine light welterweight Lucas Matthysse right after.

In a report by boxing news website Bad Left Hook, 25-year old light welterweight contender defeated Emmanuel Taylor in what was described as a "50-50 fight" between both men. It was also noted that Taylor came out aggressive during the fight's onset, which he was able to maintain throughout the fight.

Broner, on the other hand, was once again criticized for what was perceived as a subpar performance, given that he was a former world champion.

"It wound up essentially a 50-50 fight, and whether you credit that to Taylor being surprisingly competitive, or Broner again looking like less than he's been cracked up to be, the good news is we got a good fight out of the matchup," wrote boxing journalist Scott Christ.

Adrien Broner news reveals that the final tally on the scorecards had "The Problem" winning all three, 116-111, 116-111 and 115-112. Another notable event in the fight was the last-minute knockdown Broner scored during the dying minutes of the twelfth and final round.

Adrien Broner news also reveals the challenge "The Problem" issued towards fellow 140-pounder Lucas "The Machine" Matthysse during the post-fight interview with Showtime boxing's Jim Gray.

While Broner did clarify that he did not actually pose a challenge to Matthysse, he specified that he would want his next fight to be against the Argentine rising star.

"Listen, like I said before, I didn't 'kind of' call out nobody," Broner said. "I said, my next fight should be Matthysse. And he can get it!"

Lucas Matthysse fought in the undercard of the event headlined by Broner and Taylor, wherein he faced Mexico's Roberto Ortiz and won via second round knockout. He also bagged the WBC Silver Light Welterweight title in the process.

"The Problem", for his part, however, completely disregarded Matthysse's performance earlier that night.

"If I could, I'd fight Matthysse with this cut tonight," he added. "Man, I'd beat his ass, too."
