Joan Rivers news released after her Sunday memorial reported how the late comedy icon was honored with a star-studded funeral. According to NY Daily News, the event was exactly how the "Fashion Police" host wanted her sendoff to be, based on details she wrote about in her 2012 book "I Hate Everyone... Starting With Me".

The showbiz pioneer's book listed her funeral details: "I want craft services, I want paparazzi and I want publicists making a scene!"

"I want it to be Hollywood all the way. I don't want some rabbi rambling on; I want Meryl Streep crying, in five different accents," Joan Rivers wrote.

True to her request, the comedienne turned fashion critic's memorial was attended by some of the biggest names in showbiz, news, and business industries. The funeral was held last Sunday at Temple Emanu-El on the Upper East Side.

NY Daily News listed some of the stars present at the funeral, such as fellow TV hosts Kathie Lee Gifford, Whoopi Goldberg, Diane Sawyer, Rosie O'Donnell and Barbara Walters.

Among the comedians present was Kathy Griffin, who has been close friends with Joan Rivers for years.

Fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker and top designer Michael Kors also attended to pay respects to the "Fashion Police" main host.

Business moguls were also in attendance: Steve Forbes, Barry Diller, and Donald Trump. The latter awarded Joan Rivers as champion on a previous season of "Celebrity Apprentice".

Broadway stars Bernadette Peters, Alan Cumming and Tommy Tune also bid Joan Rivers goodbye, said NY Daily News.

Joan Rivers news also reported that Temple Emanu-El on the Upper East Side was surrounded by fans of the late star.

Joan Rivers news announced last Thursday the TV icon's death at the age of 81. According to a report from CNN, Yorkville Endoscopy, the clinic where the host had a cardiac arrest in the middle of a throat operation, will be investigated.

The comedienne passed away a week after she was put in a medically induced coma following the botched clinic procedure.

Joan River's 46-year-old daughter Melissa Rivers released a written statement to announce her mother's death last week. "She passed peacefully at 1:17 p.m. surrounded by family and close friends," the statement read.
