Lady Gaga news reported that the "Born This Way" singer has slammed the music industry for allegedly "controlling" her. In a report from Entertainment Wise, the singer even called her pop days "robotic", and explained why she has shifted to jazz music.
The 28-year-old singer said she felt that her voice has been "controlled" too much in the past, and that the amount of auto-tuning in her music has made her sound "robotic".
''Since 'The Fame', 'The Fame Monster' and 'Born This Way', they've been auto-tuning it more, or changing the timbre. They take the vibrato out so you sound like a robot," Lady Gaga said in the news reported by Entertainment Wise.
The controversial musician admitted: ''They really control you especially in the beginning."
"Although it was still my songs, and I still had a lot to say about the production, the vocal was something that they really, really wanted to control," Lady Gaga confessed.
The hit singer and fashion icon expressed: ''So my vocal presence has been kind of the smallest presence about me for a long time. So everything else becomes the focal point.''
Lady Gaga also talked about her decision to shift to jazz music. She is currently recording an album called "Cheek To Cheek" with jazz icon Tony Bennett, said Entertainment Wise.
Lady Gaga said Tony Bennett has been influencing her a lot lately. ''So when I say 'at this point in my career', he's changed my life for me because he's gonna make my art better from this moment on. Because he said: 'Hey, you're so much better than you're even letting yourself be,''' she explained.
In related Lady Gaga news, the singer allegedly snapped at noisy audience members during Harper's Bazaar afterparty for New York Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2015.
According to a report from Fox News, the incident occurred last Friday night at Plaza Hotel. The pop-diva-turned-jazz-artist was performing songs from her "Cheek To Cheek" jazz album when she got annoyed at a crowd that was chatting loudly during her performance.
Lady Gaga news reported that the singer stopped in the middle of her second song and told the crowd: "Will you (expletive) shut up? We're playing some jazz... Goddamn rich people."
"So, if you all keep it down while I sing my boyfriend a song, I'd appreciate it," she added.
After the reported tirade, Lady Gaga continued singing other tracks from her "Cheek To Cheek" album, which is scheduled to be released on September 23.
