"Family Guy" and "The Simpsons" crossover news update show the Griffins taking over Springfield as still photos of the episode made its way to the magazine and entertainment sites. The show creators, meanwhile, drew each other as part of the mashup.
The Entertainment Weekly per Movie Pilot published a series of photos of the "Family Guy" and "The Simpsons" crossover episode showing the Griffins appearing to be in a surprise when they enter their home and there was the Simpsons family sitting on the couch watching TV. This is probably part of "The Simpsons" famous intro.
Another sneak photo shows Bart Simpsons teaching Stewie how to skateboard. In another pic, Lisa appears to be showing off her saxophone for Meg to try. And Chris, ever the baby, is shown sitting on the Simpsons' dining table and sucking a pacifier with Maggie (and her ubiquitous pacifier) beside him.
Homer Simpsons and Peter Griffin seem to get along so well as they are sitting on The Simpsons' couch. But of course, it doesn't last long as they get into an argument over their favorite beers.
A video clip of the "Family Guy" and "The Simpsons" crossover was uploaded on YouTube.
The clip opens with the Griffins appearing to be lost and stumbled upon the sign "Welcome to Springfield."
Then the spiels and putdowns immediately started with Peter Griffin warning his family to never drink from the water because everybody in Springfield has hepatitis. Of course, Homer Simpsons also has his day as he called the Griffins his albino friends.
Then the fight between Peter Griffin and Homer Simpson starts over which beer is better-tasting: the Pawtucket or Duff.
Meanwhile, in honor of the "Family Guy" and "The Simpsons" crossover, Matt Groening and Seth McFarlane drew each other in their own style. The images were published on Entertainment Weekly.
