Pregnancy is the latest in Kate Middleton news; yes, it's confirmed the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting her second child with Prince William.
An official press release confirms Kate Middleton news of a second child:
"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.
The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.
As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace."
The gender of the baby is already a sensation, with many actually placing bets on whether it'll be a boy or a girl. Sources say the child will likely be named Henry or Elizabeth, and will be the fourth in line to the throne after Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince George.
The Kate Middleton news of pregnancy will bump other members of the royal family down the peg, especially Prince Harry who is now fifth heir to the throne.
Kate is also reportedly being treated for the usual symptoms of early pregnancy. The official announcement confirms she has acute morning sickness, and is under the watch of doctors under Kensington Palace.
The Duchess of Cambridge's condition is expected to affect upcoming engagements, as she's recently withdrawn from an invite on Oxford this Monday.
Prince William attended a recent engagement without Kate, saying his wife "wishes she could be here."
"She's feeling OK, thanks. It's been a tricky few days - week or so - but obviously we're basically thrilled, it's great news, and early days. We're hoping things settle down and she feels a bit better." (nydailynews.com)
Kate Middleton news of her pregnancy is her second; the royal couple had their first baby Prince George last July 2013.
