Apple iWatch Release Date, 'Apple Watch' Unveiled With iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Release Date 2015, 'Apple Has Emerged From Shadow Of founder Steve Jobs"
Apple iWatch Release Date: Apple has unveiled its much touted 'iWatch-device' during a special September 9 event hosted by the tech giant in Cupertino, California, online reports reveal. The wearable gadget monitors health and fitness parameters and is dubbed the 'Apple Watch', which was revealed along with the highly anticipated 2 iPhone 6 edition smartphones by CEO Tim Cook and the rest of the Apple gang.
The bad news is the Apple Watch requires an iPhone in order to work and this was received badly by the business community, taking Apple shares down 1.3 % down on the news on during end of the day trading in New York, said Katherine Rushton, the U.S. Business Editor at Telegragh.com.
Tech editor, Telegraph's Matt Warman said in his verdict of the Apple Watch, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone Plus 'phablet', "With the announcement of two new iPhones, a smartwatch and a massively ambitious mobile payments system, Tim Cook showed that Apple has emerged from the shadow of its founder Steve Jobs."
The Verge reported Apple Watch will come in two editions and the starting price is $359. One customer asked on Twitter if the price was too steep and the response said, 'It's the cheapest product on the store."
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, whose Apple leaks have a reputation for being accurate, told Mac Rumors,
"We reiterate our view that iWatch, as compared to existing products, and as Apple's (US) first attempt at a wearable device, represents a much higher level of difficulty for the company as regards component and system design, manufacturing and integration between hardware and software."
Taking into account the complex design and functions of the Apple Watch, the Cupertino, Calif tech firm is slated to release the health monitoring device in 2015.
