The internet is abuzz with the latest news of a feud between two hugely popular female pop stars of this generation! Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are rumored to be enemies, after Swift opened up to Rolling Stone magazine that one particular female artists was her "straight up enemy."
In the interview, Swift shared this juicy bit about that fellow female artist. "For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?' Swift revealed. "[Then last year] she did something so horrible. I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational - you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it."
Now news from a year ago is resurfacing that seems to confirm that Taylor Swift was referring to Katy Perry when she gave that revelation to Rolling Stone magazine. A dancer named Lockhart Brownlie gave an interview for the Examiner detailing how he switched from Taylor Swift's Red Tour, to join up with Katy Perry's Prism Tour.
"I was with Taylor for the first six months," the dancer shared with the Examiner. "It was a great experience and she's a great person to work with, but then Katy contacted us. Obviously we were with Katy for 2 1/2 years, she's like family to us, so we were, like, 'absolutely',"
And in what appears to be a further confirmation of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry's ongoing animosity, the "Dark Horse" singer recently posted a very revealing tweet that is a reference to the movie, Mean Girls. "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing..."
