The UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion was recently spotted at the UFC's red carpet event promoting the 20th season of The Ultimate Fighter where she was asked for her opinion about the controversy.
She answered "I just saw that last night. I saw it last night with the sound off. I was watching it and I was like, 'What the hell am I watching? Is this SportsCenter? I couldn't even believe my eyes and when I heard that they were still [together]. I mean, I'm just going to say that probably was not the wisest decision."
Being a well known player in a combat sports, Rousey was asked what advice she can give to all woman on this issue. She said "What would I say? It is a really really tough question. For women, I think you just need to respect yourself and see what you're worth and really know what you're worth. Unfortunately I think a lot of women undersell themselves and they don't know how much they really deserve. I know for a fact that that woman deserves more that what she believes."
In related news, UFC President Dana White was also asked on his opinion regarding how National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell has handled the situation. Goodell has been placed on a tight spot after his words has conflicted that of Rice saying that he was not aware of the details of the incident while Rice claimed that he told Goodell the whole story.
He answered "I don't know. I have no idea. This is just so bad. The video is just so horrifying and so bad. I don't know. It's a tough one. If Roger Goodell saw that video, knew that that was what happened, knew that Ray Rice did that to his wife or his fiancé or whatever it is, he should just get up and leave on his own."
