Carmelo Anthony finally signed a $124 million contract for five years with the New York Knicks, influenced by Lebron James. Looking across the roster of this team you will see a mix of this and that...a core group and a loose group of players, inside-outside combo and a come-what-may no-combo, an aggressive style of play and a lax "on a reactive basis" type of players. What would come into your mind after seeing their roster is how in the world will these people co-exist? Most of these players come from different teams with different team strategies which may compound the co-existence issue. LBJ came from a "shooters galore to open the lane for me and my mates to operate inside" game which of course why Miller and Johnson are there since they were part of this before (and which is why there is talk of Ray Allen entering the picture). Kyrie and Dion Waiters on the other hand came from a "we're young and talented and we'll show you what game we got" kind of background.
Kevin Love meanwhile is coming in (as a stretch 4, a power forward who has the ability to hit the 3 and stretch the defenses) with a "I'm just playing my usual superstar level, 20-point 10-rebound game". So with these 3 major personalities of the team, which one will be the real identity of the team and which style will be played? These are the things that the 2013-14 Cleveland Cavaliers will be handling aside from their opponents from the all across the league who have rebuilt their teams from last year and who are also in the hunt for NBA supremacy. So if they don't win it all, they have to go back to the drawing board and figure out who takes the blame for not bringing the Larry O' Brien trophy to Cleveland.
