Ellen DeGeneres Joan Rivers Robin Williams
Ellen DeGeneres Joan Rivers Robin Williams. Ellen DeGeneres has returned from a break and her show has resumed season 12, which she is happy about. DeGeneres paid tribute to two of the biggest names in entertainment, Robin Williams and Joan Rivers.
The tribute of Williams included clips of his visits to the Ellen Show – every time he was here, he made me laugh, said DeGeneres.
Both legends in the entertainment world passed away when Ellen said she was on hiatus and she felt it was appropriate to pay a tribute to them. Joan Rivers was mentioned first but the tribute was more of a remembrance of Robin Williams, who attended the show on numerous occasions.
"Every time he was here, he made me laugh so hard," Ellen was quoted as saying on Salon.com. "He was really one of a kind and I'm thankful that I got to call him a friend," she added.
"Yes, it's been over a month now since he has passed, and plenty has happened in the world and all our lives since, but it's good to still take the time to remember this utter legend, that honestly, we still can't believe has really left this mortal coil," Celebrity Gossip reported.
