Lindsay Lohan news reported that the "Speed The Plow" actress has launched a new app, and that the unveiling still pushed through amid allegations that she and brother Michael Jr. stole a web developer's idea.

According to the report from Slate, the innovation is named "Sizzle" and is described by the tech site as a "Vine meets user-generated TMZ" celebrity gossip application.

Lindsay Lohan news reported that the former "Mean Girls" lead is the app's main endorser. Ironically enough, the controversial actress herself is widely followed among gossip tabloids. This is why some wonder why she signed on to promote "Sizzle."

Lindsay Lohan news also revealed that the former child star has her own feature in the "Sizzle" app called "Lindsay Lohan's Secret Love"

Slate reported the mixed reviews being received by "Sizzle". Some techies like the app, with one commenter saying it is "Like E! News, but I can talk back!!"

However, others have been slamming the new innovation, with Slate comparing the app to its endorser Lindsay Lohan as "tedious, entitled, and a little sad".

The launch of "Sizzle" comes after news of how an alleged former partner of Lindsay Lohan claimed that she and her brother Michael Jr. stole their "virtual closet" app idea. According to the report from TMZ, the actress could possibly face a lawsuit pending negotiations with the web developer of an app called "Spotted Friend".

According to the Lindsay Lohan news item, the actress and her brother allegedly made a deal with a web developer named Fima Potik. The developer had a start-up project called "Spotted Friend", where users can supposedly get a glimpse of what's inside celebrities' closets.

TMZ recalled that Lindsay Lohan even tweeted about "Spotted Friend" in July 2013.

However, the team behind the virtual closet app reportedly parted ways. The Lohan siblings then decided to develop an app similar to "Spotted Friend".

The celebrity family's plan to launch a similar app reached their former partners. The developers have reportedly filed a cease and desist order and threatened to file a formal lawsuit to prevent Lindsay Lohan and her team from releasing the said app.

The lawyer of Lindsay Lohan responded to the lawsuit news, reported by TMZ: "Allegations of any impropriety in Lindsay Lohan's business relationship concerning this Web site are inaccurate and clearly designed to capitalize on her worldwide recognition as a fashion icon."
