"There's a lot going on right now in technology-centric innovation in Parkinson's, including items such as clinical activity trackers and technology better enabling patients to communicate when that has become a problem for them."
Google's rep, Tim Drinan, confirmed to Tech News World that Google has bought Lift Labs, saying:
"I can confirm that Lift Labs has joined Google X."
Lift's rep, Michael Magdaleno said in an interview with Tech News World that:
"Lift Labs is excited to be a part of Google."
Lift Labs include a traditional spoon, a soup spoon and a fork. They are motion sensitive. They are able to tap into tremor and other types of movements.
The handles' on-board computer regulates proprietary algorithms that divert the movements of the utensils to another direction to get rid of the tremor movements.
Lift Lab's battery is rechargeable. Therefore, it provides customized usage convenience for Parkinson's patients.
