Miami Heat's Mario Chalmers promises to make a comeback for the team this coming new season.
The Heat's had a disastrous championship final against the San Antonio Spurs. But even so, Chalmers believe that he, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade will work to keep the team to the finals.
According to Chalmers during his feelings on last season's play "You know, for the first time in my career, I felt like I wasn't ... yeah, my confidence wasn't there. Going through that whole San Antonio series, I just felt like in the playoffs I kept getting worse and worse every round. I just couldn't figure it out. ..."
He said that he did not feel motivated during the finals. He felt different playing in the championships which greatly reflected in his performance. He said "Yeah, that's the worst thing, because you never know. Everybody in my ear, talking about, 'We need you, we need you to do this, we need you to do that.' And then when it comes to the game, I didn't feel involved. Like, you all talk about how y'all need me, but y'all didn't put me in position to do anything. In previous years, if I was in that position, I would make sure I would go get the ball, I would put myself in position to score. I felt like this year, we all just took too much of a back seat in the Finals. ..."
Chalmers is a key player that seemed like being over shadowed by the star player in LeBron James. Now that the king has moved back home, Chalmers believes that he and the rest of the team will need to pick up the pieces and move from there. He said "I feel like I've finally got a chance to shine, show my real game," Chalmers said. "Me, CB, D-Wade and the rest of the guys, we're going to pick it up, we're still going to play Miami Heat basketball, and we're still gonna be a competitor."
Many will be looking forward to the Heat's new team play knowing that they have added a couple of new players to their lineup. Whether the three of them will be enough to bring Miami to the finals, we will never know until the season begins.
