Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children has been reported to be Tim Burton's latest addition to his list of interestingly bizarre movies. This upcoming film has already been slated to start its production stages by February.
At present, Eva Green is still in negotiations with regards to one of the main characters for the upcoming "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children." It has been reported that Green has had her eyes on the film's title character, Miss Peregrine, who happens to be the special guardian who looks after the orphans.
This is actually yet another book-to-movie adaptation that is based on the novel written by Ransom Riggs. It is about a young teenager who ends up being transported into a strange island. Eventually he finds it his purpose to protect a small group of orphans who have been gifted with special powers, hence the term "peculiar." He needs to protect them from terrifying creatures that are out to destroy them.
As recently mentioned, "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" will be directed by Tim Burton and will be produced by Chernin Entertainment.
Once it becomes a done deal and is given the go-ahead, "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" is another step for Burton with regards to his desire to make another film that tackles the supernatural. Green and Burton have actually already had experience working with one another on "Dark Shadows." Moreover, Burton is also quite known for his knack of reuniting with his former thesps.
Green, meanwhile, who is represented by Tavistock Wood Management and UTA, was last seen in a big flick by her fans in "300: Rise of An Empire." She is also one of the stars in Robert Rodriguez's "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For." Apart from these huge movies, her hectic schedule is also kept further busy by her participation in one of today's top-rated horror dramas, "Penny Dreadful," which, in turn, has just been renewed for a second season.
