Prince Harry Of Wales Is 30. The Media reported this week that the royal lad Prince Harry has turned 30 and was given his father’s home for the night for a birthday bash with his fellow soldiers. Apart from being given a birthday bash, Harry will receive close to $16 million, a trust fund left in his name by his late mother Princess Diana, who died in a Paris car crash in 1997.
Insiders to the royal family say that Princess Diana’s significant influence on Harry cannot be undermined: "I think he thinks a lot about his mother, her legacy and what she would have wanted her children to have done," Roya Nikka royal commentator was quoted as saying by CBS News.
His sister-in-law Kate Middleton has booked Harry’s favorite star, Ellie Goulding for the birthday party in London. Initially, Prince Harry had canceled his party taking into consideration that Kate was suffering from morning sickness but eventually Harry’s party went ahead as planned. Apparently, the royals are big ‘Elle’ fans with the artist appearing at William and Kate’s wedding, when she sang ‘Your Song’ by Elton John. Elle was also seen cuddling with Prince Harry at the Invictus Games, where she performed earlier at the Sunday closing ceremony.
Sources told entertainmentwise.com, "Kate knows Harry is a big fan of Ellie and wanted her to be part of the evening. It's a huge compliment for her, especially because she is such a fan of Harry and all the work he does,” adding, “"Ellie said yes straight away and has agreed to perform whatever Harry fancies on the night. They added: "It’s going to be a really intimate acoustic set. Harry will love it."
Prince Charles’ London abode, Clarence House, will be the venue for the big event. The Sun reported there weren’t too much planned for the party. Other news outlets suggested that Royal Blood or Lorde may have been more fitting music groups to perform on Harry’s special day.
