New updates for the new Transformers movie, Transformers 5 have been revealed.

It seems that two returning actors from the original Transformers movie trilogy are rumored to star in the fifth movie.

According to reports from Venture Capital Post, Age of Extinction star Mark Wahlberg will possible leave the movie franchise after reports of Michael Bay leaving the project and a new director might take his place in the movie. The website cited that with a Bay no longer handling Transformers 5 might take the franchise to a whole new level and whether this would be a good or bad thing is till uncertain.

Indie Wire confirmed that Bay may consider leaving the franchise for good saying that “there’s a lot that’s unexplored, but that’s for the next director to figure out”.

USA Today conducted an Interview with Bay on the possible future for the Transfomers movie as Bay believes he will pass the baton for future Transformer movies to a new director while he turns his focus elsewhere.

There's kind of a new chapter, a new direction in movies I want to make," says Bay, who is eyeing a passion project, a documentary on elephant poaching. "I have a lot of stories to tell. And it's about flexing new muscles."

Indie Wire further reported that the likely candidate to replace Bay would be his protege and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles director Jonathan Liebesman.

With Mark Wahlberg possibly leaving the franchise, who will take his place? Perhaps original cast members Shia LaBeouf or Megan Fox will take the lead in Transformers 5.

The Latino Post has reported before that Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox are rumored to make a comeback in the Transformers movie franchise. Both LaBeouf and Fox's characters Sam Whitwicky and Mikaela Banes were the first two humans that befriended the Autobots on earth and eventually became their allies in their fight against the Decepticons in the first Transformers movie and in the sequel Revenge of the Fallen.

Megan Fox recently starred in another movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as she plays news reporter April O'Neil. MoviePilot.com conducted an interview with Ms. Fox regarding her return in the Transformers franchise.

"I'm not sure if I'll return. As long as things are good between everyone and Shia returns with me I'd like to see us partner up with the new cast like a crossover."

Shia LaBeouf also commented on the possible Transformers comeback.

"It would be good to do another film but I doubt with the new changes since the third film that Megan could return you know, it might be a love war if me or Rosie both return you know its not that i don't think about it." He adds, "But no, I highly doubt I'll be back for another one. I'll do another Michael Bay film but not Transformers."
.
E!News has reported that Fox might come back on board if she was asked.

"If [Bay] ever wanted me to do a cameo like assembling an autobot motorcycle in a bike shop or something like that, I would totally do it".

Meanwhile, there have been rumors that the Maximals and Predacons will be introduced in the new Transformers trilogy.

Several fans have speculated that their might be a Beast Wars plot somewhere in the movie franchise and Comic Central City reports that the Beast Wars spin-off is being planned after Transformers 5. So we will likely see the Maximals and Predacons on the big screen very soon.

According to reports from Entertainment Weekly, Bay explained the possibilities of the new Transformers trilogy.

"It's kind of like a new Transformers. We had three, the first trilogy, and this is going to be the next one... I'm not necessarily sure that I'm doing [the others], but that's what it's meant for."

Transformers 5 is scheduled to be released on 2016.
