Michelle Rodriguez's ex girlfriend Cara Delevingne has landed the lead role in the movie adaptation of John Green's "Paper Town." "The Fault In Our Stars" author also revealed that the Burberry bags model blew him away in the auditions.

The Burberry bags and Topshop model recently bagged the lead role in "Paper Town" set to be released summer next year. Selena Gomez's BFF is set to play as Margo Roth Spiegelman, the Daily Mail said.

"Cara Delevingne's audition blew everyone away (including me!) and she understands Margo profoundly. I am so excited!" the 37-year-old "The Fault in Our Stars' author John Green confirmed in his Twitter account.

Meanwhile, Michelle Rodriguez's ex girlfriend Cara Delevingne also took to Twitter her excitement after she received the news that she will star in "Paper Town."

"Thank you so much guys!! I am so excited! Ahhhh! X," the Burberry bags model said.

However, she recently revealed to The Guardians that it is blissful to give up modeling to pursue her acting career.

"I knew I was going to have to fight really hard to do it, because I had to prove myself. Most people have that stigma: she's a model, can't act, we don't want you in our movie," she said.

Michelle Rodriguez's ex girlfriend Cara Delevingne added, "People say to me: 'The money's probably not enough, it's not the amount of money you usually get paid.' And I sit there going: 'No, that's not the point, I would pay to do this film because I care about it so much.'"

The Jake Schreier-directed movie "Paper Towns" involves two characters, Margo and Quentin, who found a body of man who committed suicide. When Cara Delevingne's character went missing, Quentin, to be played by "The Fault In Our Stars" actor Nat Woff, tracked down the clues to find her.

The young adult movie will be written by "The Fault In Our Stars" writers Michael H. Weber and Scott Neustadter.
