Sean Bean, who is currently starring in the TV series Legends, recently sat down with Vulture for an interview in which he reveals something that has ardent Game of Thrones fans buzzing with excitement and speculation. It will be remembered that Bean played Ned Stark, the head of the Stark family of Winterfell, and father to bastard son Jon Snow. The Game of Thrones season 5 spoiler that Bean revealed involves the real lineage of Jon Snow.
Bean, for all intents and purposes revealed that Ned Stark is not the father of Jon Snow. Someone else has fathered Jon Snow, and this parentage might make Snow a potential strong contender for the Iron Throne. How's that for a Game of Thrones season 5 spoiler?
In the article of Vulture, the interviewer discusses the possibility of Ned Stark being back on Game of Thrones for maybe a couple of flashback scenes, which would mean Sean Bean would also be back on the HBO show. Here's the exact excerpt when Bean dropped his Game of Thrones season 5 spoiler:
"But it's a good theory! And that should happen, shouldn't it? I've definitely got some unfinished business that needs to be resolved there. I'm obviously not Jon Snow's dad. And you need that to be revealed at some point, don't you? So Bran would kind of be the one having the flashback, and he would see Ned praying, right? And revealing those things? You never know what those guys are going to do with that. It's got to be something special. But I'm into that. I certainly would be into that. Print that! Give them a nudge. [Laughs.] Hopefully I'll get a call soon."
Speaking of flashbacks, guess who else will be back from the dead, so to speak, on Game of Thrones season 5? The dead and gone Tywin Lannister. Actor Charles Dance, who plays Tywin gave an interview with MTV in which he hints at the return of the Lannister patriarch. "I'm not completely missing out on the next series. You haven't seen the last of Tywin Lannister." For more Game of Thrones season 5 spoilers, stay tuned!
