The couple stayed together for only three months and same goes with her past boyfriends including John Mayer, Joe Jonas, and Taylor Lautner. I think her longest relationship was with Jake Gyllenhaal whom she dated from October to December 2010 and they reunited in January 2011, but ended after a month.
During an interview with Rolling Stone, Taylor Swift finally opened up about her past relationships. She was asked if she had been in love before. The 24-year old singer admitted, "Not real love. Not the kind that lasts. I think that's still ahead of me - which is really exciting." Does it mean that she never loved any of her ex-boyfriends? It's surprising because she wrote many breakup songs, which means that she did love them, but they just broke her heart.
Anyways, it's still nice to know that there's still a possibility of seeing Taylor Swift with a new boyfriend because she thinks that true love awaits her. The "Shake It Off" hitmaker gave tips on when to give up on a relationship. She said, "Once you've established that someone doesn't belong in your life, I don't understand what more there is to talk about. I walk away from things when they're bad. I don't stick around to watch them burn to the ground."
She further explained, "I don't want to scream and yell at someone and give them the opportunity to say I'm crazy, or that I went psycho." Taylor added, "No one will ever be able to say I went psycho on them." Could fame be the reason for most of her break ups because of their busy schedule and the temptations that surround them?
Taylor Swift said, "I used to go into relationships thinking, 'Maybe this is the one - we'll get married and have a family, this could be forever.' Whereas now I go in thinking, 'How long do we have on the clock - before something comes along and puts a wrench in it, or your publicist calls and says this isn't a good idea?'"
It must have been tough on her going into a relationship with some of the hottest bachelors in Hollywood and the music world. She's lucky to have dated them because many women are dying to experience that, but there's always a price you have to pay when you are famous.
