Bungie Destiny Release Stats. Bungie's Destiny has been on sale for a week and already it has made a big splash and analysts are reviewing sales analytics of the popular video game. Destiny's review scores could be lower than Bungie's expectations, however, gamers are pretty much addicted to the game.

The Bungie Weekly Update is the first place to go for stats about Destiny. Bungie's Community Manager DeeJ lists some of the records hit by Destiny in just a week's time:

1. 100 Million Hours Played. A hundred million hours of play is translated to 'watching hours to watch 'The Lord of the Rings' Special Extended Editions almost 8.8 million times,' arcadesushi.com shared.

2. 137 Million Activities Played. To give readers an idea of Destiny's spread in the gaming world, this would be equal to 535,156 seasons of NFL

3. Talking about gameplay, each session Monday - Friday takes about three hours. On Saturday and Sunday, that figure goes up to four hours. Most Destiny palyers are classified as 'weekend warriors,' says DeeJ.

4. The Crucible Fragtastic records 1 billion player deaths.

These are some preliminary results for Destiny in its first week of game play. As time goes on, these figures are expected to get bigger.

Activision had claimed sales of $500 million to retail shops and first parties, an additional sale of $325 million has been accounted from individual gamer buys.

Eric Hirshberg , Activision's publishing executive told Gamespot, "Destiny fans played more than 100 million hours of the game in the first week. That's on par with the engagement levels of our most popular Call of Duty games, which obviously is an industry leader,"

Fuse Joplin reported that Destiny is the most streamed label on Twitch, the new YouTube app, while other reports claimed that Destiny's release this week led to the biggest PS4 hardware sales this year.
