John Travolta will star in action drama "Life on the Line", writes The Wrap. Kate Bosworth and Devon Sawa will join him in this movie directed by David Hackl.
Primo Brown, Peter Horton, and Dylan Scott are the writers while Marvin Peart and Philip Glasser are the producers. Chad Dubea is the executive producer.
The flick is about a group of linemen whose job is to fix electrical grid. Ironically, they have a hard time fixing their own lives as they struggle to cling to the women they love. A massive storm will come and try to tear them apart.
This film is sort of a tribute to linemen - among the modern-day unsung heroes - as it was already several decades ago when a movie discussed about the lineman industry ("Slim the Lineman" 1937).
John Travolta, aside from "Life on the Line", is currently shooting "In a Valley of Violence". He's also one of the actors in "Criminal Activities", which is set for initial release on June 1, 2015 in the U.S.
In a rare interview with The Daily Beast, the "Pulp Fiction" star addressed several years of allegations that he is gay. He talked about the pending lawsuit from a former pilot who alleged that they had romantic relationship: "It's just about people wanting money."
He admitted to getting offended by allegations. "I found it most offensive with the loss of my son. I felt like that was the lowest I'd ever felt. Sex stuff is always going to be interesting to somebody, but you stay away from family. You really should. With that, I always felt like the media - not all of the media, but parts of it - went too low there."
Production is set to begin next week in Vancouver for six weeks. The John Travolta-starrer "Life on the Line" has a budget of between $10 million and $12 million.
