Mischa Barton news reported that the former "The OC" actress is set to appear in an Indian film about the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy. Reportsabout her participation in the movie followed earlier reports about how loved ones are concerned with the former It Girl's career decisions, saying she has been accepting offbeat jobs "just to make a quick buck".

According to a report from Hindustan Times. the said Indian movie is entitled "Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain" and will star the controversial actress alongside Martin Sheen. The film is about the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy, considered as one of the biggest man-made disasters of all time.

Mischa Barton news revealed that she will play the role of an international lifestyle reporter. Her character will help an Indian journalist who exposed the threats of having a pesticide plant in their city, said the Hindustan Times report.

"Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain" is directed by Ravi Kumar and produced by Sahara Movie Studios. It is scheduled for international release on December 5.

Prior to Mischa Barton news about the Indian film, an earlier report from The Independent said family and friends of the actress are concerned with the professional decisions that she has been making.

Mischa Barton's most recent projects include endorsing products such as Vapestick E-cig and a diet supplement called Proactol XS.

An insider shared to America's OK! magazine: "Mischa doesn't know where her career is going, so she's been taking these quirky gigs to make a quick buck."

But the actress is reportedly not open to talking to her loved ones about her recent career moves, which they have been questioning.

"Her friends and family are worried about her decisions, but she keeps pushing them away," the insider claimed.

Another questionable career move made by the actress was ditching the shoot for a movie entitled "Promoted," which initially cast her as one of the lead stars. According to a report from TMZ, the film's producers are suing Mischa Barton a total of $320,000 for delaying the project's production.

The team behind the film "Promoted" claimed the actress was travelling around Europe instead of attending the film's scheduled shoot. Mischa Barton's failure to attend the movie shoot allegedly "created a snowball effect", as the lead actor cast in the movie did not want to work with a different actress.
