"Big Brother" season 16 has officially ended and a new winner has been named!
Fans who have been following the reality show the entire season would know very well who deserved to win - and it's none other than Derrick Levasseur.
Earlier this week, Derrick had a tough time deciding on who he should take to the final two. He previously made an alliance with Victoria and then made one with Cody but at the end of the day, the doting father had to decide which one would be more beneficial to his game.
To ensure his safety on finale night, Derrick decided to keep Cody and when it came down to the other house guests' decision, of course Derrick was the one they voted to win. Cody finished at a close second with $50,000, according to E! News.
One of Derrick's smartest moves this season was his decision to never reveal that he was an undercover cop. This obviously gave him the chance to figure out which housemates were lying and which ones were trying to manipulate him, without necessarily them targeting him.
He may not have won as many Head of Household competitions like Frankie, the older brother of Ariana Grande, but Derrick sure played his house guests well, the Washington Post reported.
The 30-year-old Rhode Island resident received a warm round of applause not only from audiences but also from his fellow house guests who became members of the jury.
Nicole Franzel, who had a showman with Hayden said, "He's so likeable... you feel guilty when he betrays you."
Meanwhile, "Big Btrother" host Julie Chen revealed who America voted as their favorite house guest this season. The house guest is of course none other than groundskeeper Donny.
Being the eldest of the group, Donny was the player who was most honest and probably the most sincere of them all too. He luckily went home with $25,000 on top of his other winnings as part of Team America.
