Jeremy Renner in "Hawkeye" movie spinoff will not be a reality soon, as the actor is not keen about it, nor is he vouching for it. Instead, he stressed out his character's probable participation in the upcoming "Captain America 3" movie.
MTV News has confirmed that Jeremy Renner in "Hawkeye" movie of his own is a "No" for now. The actor has expressed satisfaction with his current supporting role status. He added that he is not making any effort to appeal for a spinoff of his Hawkeye character.
But even if Jeremy Renner in "Hawkeye" movie spinoff may not hit the big screen in the near future, the actor has mentioned that his character functions more like a utility guy that moves from one hero's world to another, particularly in "Captain America 3," reported MTV News.
Saying this, the "Bourne Legacy" actor dropped a big clue, hinting at his participation in the upcoming sequel slated for release in 2016. Screenrant noted that among the Avengers, he is arguably the busiest with big-budgeted action movie projects (usually sequels) for launching in the coming years.
However, despite his hints, the actor still evaded confirming his participation in the "Captain America 3" movie. According to Screenrant, even if it made sense for his Hawkeye character to have a part in the movie after being omitted from the previous sequel (Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier), his juggling many projects could pose scheduling constraints.
Fans get to see Jeremy in a major role as Hawkeye once more in the much anticipated "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Also, he will be reprising his previous role in "Mission Impossible 5" and the planned "Bourne" movie whose production was moved to give way to Matt Damon's return as Jason Bourne in a separate film.
On top of these, the action star will allegedly appear in the second sequel of "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters." However, the producers have not yet released any statement regarding his reprising his role of the adult Hansel, reported Screenrant.
