Samsung just got a mileage from Apple's iPhone 6 Bendgate scandal to advertise one of its smartphones with intentional curve.
Samsung mobile recently tweeted on Thursday, an image of the Galaxy Note Edge with Curved Not Bent, tagline, with the #GALAXYNoteEdge hashtag. The tweet aims to reach the US buyers, the Note Edge will be released later this year and it has 5.6 inch screen with the right edge curved.
The Korean company's tweet has taken advantage of the Apple iPhone bendgate issue. It has created a ridicule over Apple and iPhone 6 newly uncovered flaw in which the screen can bend at some point almost to the volume control buttons. The bendgate or the flaws seems to happen whenever the phone is in the pocket for so many hours.
After Samsung;s ridicule, BlackBerry CEO John Chen told the fanatics "I challenge you to bend the Passport." He is referring to the firm's boxy-looking Passport Phone on Wednesday.
One wave also made fun of Apple's Bendgate issue by making a fraud Apple website encouraging the bend as a global feature and a not a bug, setting the feature as "Flex the page" followed by a tagline that stated, "Apple's new patent aluminum alloy lets users create a more enjoyable viewing experience by molding the iPhone."
Some have pointed the fault to the phone's thin aluminum body as being more prone to bending. This issue seems to affect iPhone 6 plus larger screen more than iPhone 6. Lewis Hilsenteger of Unbox Therapy released a You Tube video that showed him putting pressure on the iPhone 6 only to make a small dent, therefore seeing the iPhone 6 much less bendy than iPhone 6 plus. Although, all the complaints and attention are at the bendgate right now, it should be kept in mind that other phones also have glitches.
