Anderson Silva's comeback to the Octagon now entails another title run, as "The Spider" has declared his intent to get the belt he held for seven straight years back, as the former pound-for-pound mixed martial arts king says he "wants to at least try."

Anderson Silva's comeback fight is scheduled against the controversial Nick Diaz on January 31st at UFC 183 in Las Vegas. It will be the first time he will be fighting since the gruesome broken leg injury he suffered during his rematch against Chris Weidman at UFC 168 in December 2013.

He underwent therapy and rehabilitation for six months before being officially cleared by his doctor to begin sparring again. However, the former UFC middleweight champion did admit in a previous interview with MMA Fighting, that the said injury haunted him psychologically.

"I've worked with a psychologist so I can get rid of the ghosts of those horrible moments of that fight, when I had that accident," Silva admitted. "I'm a little apprehensive in training. I know I can execute the movement, but I end up not doing it for fear."

"The Spider" also declared in the same interview that he was no longer chasing after the middleweight belt, and that the days of being champion were already behind him.

"I'm over this thing of being champion, having the title," Silva added. "The truth is, there will only be one Ayrton Senna, there will only be one Pele, and there will only be one Anderson Silva, so whoever saw me (as champion), saw me.

"Who haven't seen me (as champion), won't see it," he continued."

However, in a recent interview with Veja, Anderson Silva's comeback has seemed to be reignited anew, as the 39-year old fighter has set his sights on the title once again.

"Look, besides returning well in 2015, my project in the UFC is only one: I won't stop (fighting) until I get my title back," Silva declared. "I want to at least try."
